IGH Cochrane Corner
The IGH Cochrane Corner is hosted by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Institute of Gender and Health (IGH).
The IGH Cochrane Corner is developed in collaboration with the Equity Methods Group. With funding from IGH, we work to advance methodological understanding of how the applicability and recommendations of syntheses can take sex and gender into account. We also provide direction related to undertaking subgroup analyses in syntheses and develop methods for addressing population classifications including sex/gender, socioeconomic status, race/ethnicity, and occupation in systematic reviews.
The IGH Cochrane Corner aims to introduce those working in gender, sex, and health to the methods of the Cochrane Collaboration and to bring awareness of sex- and gender-based analyses to the Cochrane community.
Reviews in the Corner
The IGH Cochrane Corner provides "Reviews in the Corner". These are summaries of systematic reviews relevant to gender, sex, and health. The summaries describe how sex and gender are considered and report the strengths and weaknesses of the approaches to sex and gender used in reviews.
Corner Column
Also featured on the IGH Cochrane Corner website is the "Corner Column", an original series of articles, produced as a regular feature of the IGH Corner, that highlight methodological, substantive, or newsworthy issues related to sex, gender, health, and systematic reviews.
